To successfully execute inside-out moves, a company must establish a range of relationships within its business ecosystem. Consider BT’s global services group, which wanted to provide its customers with a variety of risk-management services but lacked the resources to build a best-in-class product internally. Here’s how that need led to the birth of a firm called Texert, whose software offerings today allow businesses to track and respond to systemic business risks, including regulatory, governance, and compliance requirements.
